Philosophy of Change

I believe therapy involves many things. As a therapist I provide education, empathy and support and help build skills. I utilize Client Directed Outcome Informed (CDOI) therapy which puts you (the client) in the driver’s seat. You decide what you want to work on and what is important to you. This type of approach also helps you get the most out of your therapy by allowing you to give feedback to me (the therapist) about each session; what you liked and did not like. With feedback I can make changes to better accommodate your needs.

I incorporate various approaches when working with clients. The first session, like other sessions, is 50 minutes in length. Paperwork is kept to a minimum, but there is some to complete at your initial session, and then we sit down and talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain. Additionally, my office is handicapped accessible.
